The opportunity

As an integral part of the Data Team, you will provide high quality requirements elicitation to progress the development and management of data solutions for the Openwork Partnership.
 
This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in Swindon. 

Key Responsibilities:
• Elicit business requirements that define the outcomes required to meet the Openwork Business Information, Management Information, and data access needs. 
• Work with the Data Team to create product backlog items (user stories, features) to meet the business requirements.
• Design documentation to articulate business rules/logic and technical transformation rules/logic for ETL development.
• Work with ETL/report developers and Data Testers to provide data mapping and rules clarifications for transformations.
• Ensure that key trends are identified and clearly articulated to the appropriate audience.
• Provide analysis to all levels of the business in a professional manner.
• Manipulate and analyse large data sets for ad-hoc and routine reporting.
• Participate in ensuring best practise is adhered to in the handling and management of data by the team.

• Salary £37,000 to £50,000
• Bonus scheme - on target bonus - 10%

What will you need to succeed?

• Experience as a Data Analyst and / or Business Analyst in Data Warehouse environments. 
• Experience in production of Management Information and Business Information. 
• Experience in Agile working
• Experience with Financial Services industry experience (desirable)
• Graduate in IT or Finance (desirable)
• Minimum Maths AS-Level 
• Advanced Excel skills
• SQL/database querying skills
• Kimball Methodology
• Azure DevOps / VSTS (desirable)
• Openwork sales and recruitment structures (desirable)
• Knowledge of the product hierarchy (desirable)
• Data Analysis skills
• Data Mapping skills
• Good problem-solving skills and an analytical mind
• Be a strong team player who is collaborative, pro-active, enthusiastic, and willing to assist others
• Be able to adapt to a continually changing environment with a significant programme of business change
• Strong Agile practitioner
• Good communication skills
• Ability to apply judgement to situations requiring balance between time and accuracy
