The opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Head of Proposition to come and join the leadership team at 2plan. Working alongside the Group Proposition Director, you'll be responsible for the development and enhancement of the 2plan investment and M&P proposition, supporting advisers with communications, training and support.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop the wealth, mortgage & protection proposition, ensuring ongoing competitiveness for advisers and clients
  • Leadership, management and personal development of the proposition team
  • Deliver proposition training to advising members and develop the skills of the advising population
  • Maintaining the relationship with key product providers
  • Interaction and point of contact between 2plan and 3rd party mortgage and protection providers
  • Hold the SMF 10 for Consumer Duty taking accountability and ownership for ongoing consumer duty delivery
  • Interaction and point of contact between 2plan and 3rd party investment providers, fund groups and platforms
  • Work with Omnis to ensure the Omnis solution appropriately meets the needs of 2plan advisers and clients
  • Support, cultivate and grow the adoption of the Omnis funds and portfolio proposition both in terms of AUM and support base
  • The broad investment and business development relationships across 2plan
  • Provide strategy support and governance reporting for the Investment Committee as Chair
  • Provide ongoing support to all Senior Leaders to support the attainment of strategic goals and maintaining strong corporate governance
  • Represent the interests of 2plan companies within the context of the wider group with relevant external forums where required

What will you need to succeed?

Knowledge

  • Deep knowledge of financial services industry and working in a regulated environment
  • Broad understanding of the role of platforms and industry investment solutions
  • Understands and is able to articulate the regulated advice process
  • Extensive experience of product proposition development and management in a regulatory environment
  • Market-leading understanding of how advice businesses / advisers operate
  • Experience of supplier/partner selection best practice and commercial negotiation
  • Extensive understanding of regulatory requirements affecting product proposition development and management
  • Knowledge of the methods and opportunities available to promote the, the business and its proposition
  • Strategic and pragmatic
  • Highly motivated, initiative-taking
  • High level negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to build effective and beneficial relationships with key internal stakeholders and external product providers and service providers
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders as necessary to problem-solve and deliver objectives
  • Ability to work on own initiative, demonstrate strong judgement and decision-making, and act within limits of authority
  • Ability to deliver multiple initiatives and workload under pressure, prioritising work and managing delivery with internal and external stakeholders
