The opportunity

  • We are looking for a passionate and engaging Financial Services Trainer to support The Openwork Partnership's vision to be recognised as a leader in the development of a qualified and capable community of financial advice professionals across the UK.

  •  

Reporting to the Development Manager, your role will be varied across the technical and skills areas of financial advice, although particular interest in systems would be advantageous. You'll be someone who can inspire and enthuse our delegates, whether delivering on-line or in a training centre environment and of course, whilst working to the highest ethical and professional standards.
 
This is a 12 month fixed term contract, based 2 days a week in our Swindon office.

Your working day will include:
 
    • Supporting the development of training programmes (including digitisation) to meet Partnership objectives 
    • Supporting the annual training and development needs assessment
    • Delivering effective training materials utilising a variety of media
    • Conducting follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
    • Role modelling a culture of continuous improvement through training
    • Exemplifying the desired culture and values of The Openwork Partnership.
    • Working effectively as a team member.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge:

  •  

    • In-depth understanding of learning and development within a Professional Services environment
    • Strong and varied experience within financial services, in particular financial advice
    • Experience of working in a partnership-type environment and the challenges in delivering to a network comprising Partnerships an advantage
    • Deep understanding of the learning cycle
    • Agile and creative thinking to explore alternative methods to maximise resources and impact

Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong training and facilitation skills.
  • Adapt with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development interventions
  • Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of learning and training interventions and effect improvement where appropriate.
  • Interpret and analyse MI for both evaluation and continuous improvement
