The opportunity

The Openwork Business School Learning and Development Business Partner will act as liaison between management with team/office/individual training needs and the Openwork Business School as facilitator of learning interventions. You will also identify and articulate responses to existing and new training needs between the Partnership, Colleagues and potential network entrants. 

Key Accountabilities:
Work with Managers/Principals to identify barriers to achieving business goals which could be removed/eased through learning interventions
Identify the optimum training solutions to meet the Partnership’s training requirements, balancing time, cost and quality, and define the training solution at the appropriate level of detail to enable Training Design to commence or a solution to be delivered. 
Conducting horizon scanning to identify new or changing Partnership training needs and providing advice and information to help ensure that interventions and training design activity are consistent and coherent with the business strategy and provide a skills pipeline for the future.
Identifying and articulating responses to new or changing training requirements, which may arise from organisational, product, policy or strategic directional change.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with Partnerships and Colleague Managers to ensure their learning and development needs are appropriately assessed, prioritised and delivered.
In conjunction with Programme Directors, analysing and reviewing existing training materials to support enhancement, alternative delivery methodologies or wider dissemination.
Participating in internal workshops to discuss and agree findings from analysis
Assist Programme Directors in the development of evaluation methods to ensure that delivery is cost-effective and enhances value creation within the business.
Oversee the on-going quality and relevance of the material and delivery.
Contribute to the development in approaches to learning and development within the OBS including supporting the development of an internal accreditation programme
Creating & administering assessments that meet Openwork standards

What will you need to succeed?

Qualifications/Experience: 
Degree level education or equivalent experience in a senior training or L&D role
Membership of a relevant Professional Body 
Financial Services experience 
Knowledge: 
An in-depth understanding of the professional qualification requirements associated with financial advice
Deep understanding of learning and development 
Proficient in Training Needs Analysis
Experience of working in a partnership-type environment and the challenges in delivering to a network comprising Partnerships and HO employees
Ability to build trusted relationships and to influence and guide Principals and Managers in the identification and resolution of learning and development needs
Ability to work constructively within the OBS, particularly with the Programme Directors, to balance delivery needs with available resources and develop solutions to business needs
Ability to analyse and evaluate strategic needs and identify credible solutions 
Good organisation skills and the ability to manage a range of tasks with conflicting priorities 
Maintain professional and technical competence – includes CPD and internal competency requirements
Understanding of Six-Sigma/Lean principles and a willingness to commit to continuous improvement
