The opportunity

As Business Assessor, you will assess the suitability of advice given by Openwork Appointed Representatives across our GI business lines.
 
This is a six month fixed term contract, based two days a week in our Swindon office.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Review client files within the agreed criteria to the appropriate standards and in accordance with the current Insight checklists.
  • Ensure all case checking assessment is conducted and recorded in an accurate, effective and fair manner.
  • Identify any errors or discrepancies in advice given, escalating to Team Leader or Team Manager if required.
  • Proactively identify trends and feed continuous improvement.
  • Timely reporting of potential Breaches and Rejects, taking ownership for difficult decisions.
  • Achieve the agreed number of advice checks and peer review checks per day, as well as other SLAs.
  • Identify and build relationships with key contacts (both internally and externally), providing advice and guidance as required.
  • Working effectively with the appropriate Operations, Distribution and Compliance teams to improve advice quality across the network.
  • Provide courteous and consistent support to team members, advisers and supervisors to improve advice quality.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Previous experience in a financial services organisation.
  • Previous business assessment experience.
  • CeMAP qualified desirable.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, TCF, Data Protection and Financial Crime.
  • High level of attention to detail coupled with excellent accuracy.
  • Sound judgement, ensuring impartiality and consistency.
  • Good problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills. 
  • A strong communicator, able to listen and build relationships effectively at a variety of levels.
  • Time management, planning, prioritising and organisation skills.
  • Remains calm when under pressure. 
  • A natural customer focus, able to cope with difficult and challenging situations.
