The opportunity

We are looking for a talented Senior Business Analyst to join our team and play a key role in delivering complex business change and technology initiatives. In this role, you will work across multiple large-scale projects, translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements for our technology teams. 

You will act as a vital link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that strategic objectives are effectively translated into innovative and practical technology solutions. 
 
The role will involve leading business and systems analysis across a range of business change and IT improvement programmes. You will analyse operational processes, procedures, systems, and services to identify opportunities for improvement and support the successful delivery of change. 
 
Working in a fast paced environment, you will manage analysis across several complex projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality delivery and stakeholder alignment. 
 
You will also play an important role in mentoring and upskilling Business Analysts, helping to develop capability and best practice across the team. 
 
This is a hybrid role, working 2 days a week from our 2plan Leeds office.
 
 The benefits:
  • Salary - £55,000 to £65,000
  • Bonus scheme - on target bonus - 10%

Key Accountabilities:
  • Lead business and systems analysis across complex change initiatives and technology projects.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements for technology teams.
  • Analyse business processes, systems and data to identify opportunities for improvement and support effective solution design.
  • Produce high-quality documentation including business requirements, process maps, and user stories.
  • Facilitate workshops, gather feedback and support prioritisation of requirements across multiple stakeholders.
  • Act as a key liaison between business teams, project delivery teams and third party suppliers.
  • Support project delivery by ensuring solutions are aligned with business objectives and are effectively tested and implemented.
  • Mentor and support the development of Business Analysts within the team.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong experience delivering business and systems analysis within complex change IT programmes.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong process analysis and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

What will you need to succeed?

Qualifications/Experience:
  • Experience in business analysis, with some experience working within the financial services industry
  • Experience of product owner responsibilities and how this supports analysis
  • Proven experience in complex business and systems analysis, translating business needs into functional and technical requirements
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau)
  • Relevant qualifications such as Lean Six Sigma are advantageous
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies is advantageous
  • Experience on projects delivered by 3rd party vendors
Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of business process analysis and business process modelling/re-engineering
  • Strong understanding of structured analysis and project management methodologies
  • Previous experience of designing new processes and their validation, understanding drivers for change and articulating high level business/operational/IT requirements
