The opportunity

We are looking for a User Acceptance Test (UAT) & Business Readiness Lead to design, embed, and lead a scalable, enterprise-wide testing capability across the full change lifecycle. 

You'll ensure that the end users across Head Office and Adviser populations are supported through robust, end-to-end testing covering functionality, usability, workflows, business processes, data, and regulatory outcomes. 
 
Operating within a regulated financial services environment, you'll strengthen IT Quality Assurance by delivering a business-led acceptance and readiness approach - ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, safe to release, and backed by clear, auditable evidence. 
 
This is a hybrid role based 3 days a week in the Leeds office.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Define and own a standardised, risk-based UAT and Business Readiness Testing framework aligned to the Change lifecycle.
  • Establish clear acceptance criteria, entry/exit controls and go-live readiness standards, linked back to the business case and business outcomes / requirements.
  • Plan and lead UAT validating end-to-end customer and adviser journeys, workflows and controls.
  • Accountable for coordinating and securing formal business acceptance and readiness sign-off prior to go-live.
  • Produce inspection-ready evidence supporting audit and regulatory assurance.
  • Operate as a fungible testing lead contributing to functional and non-functional testing where required.

What will you need to succeed?

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
  • Proven UAT leadership in regulated environments, ideally Financial Advice
  • Experience designing or operating Business Readiness and Operational Acceptance models.
  • Hands-on functional and non-functional testing experience
  • Desirable: Automation testing (Playwright)
 
KNOWLEDGE
  • UAT governance, audit evidence, end-to-end business testing.
  • Experience in Wealth/Mortgage financial advice would be highly advantageous.
