Quality Engineer

The opportunity

As a Quality Engineer, you will be a key member of the Engineering Team, helping Developers create high-quality solutions through automation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

This isn't a traditional testing role. We're looking for someone who seems themselves as an Engineer first, with a passion for Quality. You will work closely with Developers, build automated testing solutions, improve CI/CD pipelines, and help prevent issues before they reach production.

Please note, this is a hybrid role in Swindon which will require 1-3 days a week in the office depending on work requirements.

Salary - Up to £55,000 depending on experience

Key responsibilities:

Designing, building and maintaining automated tests across unit, integration, API and end-to-end testing
Embedding quality checks and automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
Working with Developers and Analysts to identify quality risk issues early in the development process
Supporting observability through logging, monitoring and alerting
Exploring and implementing AI-assisted testing approaches where appropriate
Defining and evolving the team's testing strategy and quality standards
Collaborating with other Quality Engineers to improve quality practices across the wider technology function

What will you need to succeed?

Experience working as a Quality Engineer, Software Developer in Test or similar role
Experience in .NET development and automated testing is key
End-to-end testing using Playwright, Selenium or similar is beneficial
Proven track record of creating and maintaining automated test frameworks within production environments
Experience working as part of an Agile engineering team
