The opportunity

As the Head of Product, you will be accountable for leading Omnis’ Product strategy, product development and governance. This will be in line with Openwork’s strategy, with the aim to enhance the customer proposition.

You will lead the Product team to design, develop and manufacture new products and drive innovation. You will be responsible for enhancing governance and oversight to drive the required changes in proposition.

This position is based in our London office, with 3 days a week required on site.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Define and deliver the firm’s product strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Identify product gaps and opportunities across asset classes, wrappers, and client segments.
  • Lead the development of new investment propositions and product innovation.
  • Ensure the product range supports the firm’s distribution channels (advisers, platforms).
  • Lead the end‑to‑end development of new investment products including fund launches, mandates, model portfolios and alternative strategies.
  • Coordinate across investment, legal, compliance, risk, operations and distribution teams.
  • Oversee preparation of product documentation including prospectuses, KIDs/KIIDs, factsheets and marketing materials.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA PROD rules and Consumer Duty requirements.
  • Lead or chair Product Governance Committees.
  • Monitor product performance, costs and client outcomes.
  • Oversee product approval processes and regulatory oversight.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of products including launch, monitoring, repositioning, fee adjustments and closures.
  • Work closely with distribution and sales teams to ensure products support adviser, platform and institutional propositions.
  • Track regulatory developments impacting product design.
  • Use market insight to inform product innovation and strategy.
  • Act as the central coordination point between investment, distribution, compliance, risk and operations.
  • Engage with external partners such as ACDs, platforms and service providers.
  • Represent product strategy at executive and governance committees.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Extensive experience of investment product proposition development and management.
  • Extensive experience of driving strategic proposition changes through from design to implementation.
  • Experience in managing product governance.
  • Significant leadership and management experience.
  • Experience of managing third-party providers.
  • Significant experience in a relevant financial service’s regulatory environment.
  • Market leading industry knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of how Adviser Firms and Advisers operate and are motivated.
  • Strong regulatory awareness to understand what optimises the client outcome.
  • Strong political, economic and legislative knowledge and understanding to drive opportunities, campaigns, etc.
  • Depth and breadth of technical knowledge across the entire investment landscape.
