The opportunity

We have multiple opportunities to join the team as a Software Developer. Responsible for contributing to the development, and maintenance of scalable software solutions that support 2plan’s business objectives, you'll combine execution and strategy, ensuring quality delivery while growing technical and collaborative capabilities.

This is a hybrid role, with expectation to be in our central Leeds office twice a month.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Software Development: Build and maintain applications using .NET Core, C#, Azure, and Blazor.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code aligned with SOLID principles and clean architecture.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers, testers, and the business to deliver features.
  • Documentation: Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Support & Maintenance: Address bugs, user stories, and backlog items in line with sprint priorities

What will you need to succeed?

Qualifications/ Experience:

  •  Proven experience in .NET Core and C# development.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server and T-SQL for data access and optimisation.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Azure Boards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
Knowledge:
  • Experience in the financial services domain or regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and user-centric design
  • Familiarity with persona-driven development and user story mapping.
  • Passion for learning and staying current with emerging technologies.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Show a real willingness to learn within a challenging environment
  • Good ownership, analytical, problem solving skills.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills, ability to be self-sufficient.
  • Capable of reasoning and thinking through problems and be able to independently and jointly develop desired solutions.
  • Demonstrate consistent development practices and principles.
  • Collaborative working style.
